Eric Pfeiffer aims to explore “the design of everyday objects in our lives”.
Pfeiffer’s Magazine Table (2000; Mag Table) is a sleek, sensuous table with a modified S-curve form made from bent plywood, which further accentuates its inviting warmth. Aesthetically-pleasing form aside, the designer’s love of functionality can be seen in the dual use of the hybrid table. As a side table it holds magazines prettily in its curved fold and affords table space or even an impromptu seat. Flip it and it becomes a nifty laptop stand. Its small footprint and classic design make it appropriate for many settings.
