An Architectural Sofa That Floats above The Floor
A horizon drawn indoors, Cavora is a floating island that defines the landscape of the living room. Its lines are pure and architectural, yet softened by an embrace of comfort. It rests on a slender, suspended base—a thin, precise line in leather, fabric, or an exquisite combination of both—upon which generous cushions settle like clouds above the sea.
In perfect harmony with the design philosophy, Cavora begins with a clear architectural vision: a disciplined form lifted seven centimetres above the floor, supported by a recessed plinth in matte black metal. This subtle elevation lends a weightless quality, as though the entire composition were adrift. Seats, backs, and armrests become grand, voluminous cushions—bold in proportion, yet irresistibly soft.
Each module is a meeting of precision and indulgence. Innovative pocket springs wrapped in layered polyurethane create seating that remembers your form, yet gracefully returns to its original shape. The softness invites you in; the structure holds you in perfect poise.
The base itself is a work of craftsmanship. In fabric, dual panels meet with a concealed zip beneath a softly creased seam—a discreet detail with couture sensibility. In leather, panels are joined with lapped seams, a haute couture technique that folds and stitches each edge for refinement that can be felt as much as seen.
Cavora’s language is one of continuity and flow. Straight modules converse with angled and sloping elements, while integrated coffee tables emerge seamlessly, as though part of the original sketch. Sometimes the base extends beyond the cushions, carrying a shelf—like a quiet punctuation mark—crafted from Canaletto walnut, Liquorice ash, or fine marble and granite. Each surface becomes part of the narrative, a place to rest a glass, a book, or a moment.
The collection extends beyond seating. Coffee tables and side tables, echoing the sofa’s geometry and base details, layer the space with variation in height and proportion. Bronze-finished metal frames ground rich wooden tops, their horizontal grooves repeating the quiet rhythm of the sofa’s design.
In any configuration—whether intimate or expansive—Cavora becomes a living, breathing composition. A seamless horizon that shifts and adapts, its story written in the language of space, proportion, and understated luxury.
