DERMOFRESH® technology provides a new generation of technical fabrics exclusively designed for bedding. It is the perfect combination of TENCEL™ + SMARTCEL™ sensitive fibres + Polyurethane membrane that acts like a second skin.
The DERMOFRESH® membrane is a polyurethane hydrophilic membrane with a solid structure that physically stops water droplets from passing through the membrane. The hydrophilic membrane guarantees long-term waterproofing.
Despite being waterproof, the DERMOFRESH® membrane has a strong breathable component and allows water vapour to pass through it. It acts in a similar way to skin: repelling water whilst remaining breathable.
DERMOFRESH® technology consists of a highly elastic knit fabric laminated onto an equally elastic membrane using an exclusive system. The materials used and the lamination system enable us to obtain a fabric that is elastic on both sides and perfectly adapts to the product it protects.
TENCEL™ is a 100% natural fibre produced from sustainable wood, obtained from certified and controlled sources. TENCEL™ has excellent moisture control. As a result, it helps to keep the body feeling pleasantly dry and at a comfortable temperature. What’s more, owing to its high capacity for absorbing moisture, it provides an unfavourable environment for bacterial growth.
SMARTCEL™sensitive is made by permanently incorporating zinc oxide to TENCEL™Lyocell fibre. Bedding Industrial Begudà SL holds world exclusivity on this innovation that contributes to the acceleration of skin cell regeneration and has important antibacterial properties which prevent bacterial and fungal growth naturally and without the use of chemicals, and as a result, reduces unpleasant odours.
Waterproofing is achieved using an exclusive thousand-point laminating system; the fabric is laminated onto a technical polyurethane membrane that is waterproof, breathable, discreet and bi-elastic. The membrane acts like a second skin: it doesn’t let liquids seep through, and yet it is completely breathable.
