Looking for a decent customized wardrobe maker in Singapore can be a daunting task. Most IDs and local carpenters usually tend to show you the same wardrobe sample day in day out.
Most of the customized wardrobes you find are mostly made using plywood with choices of laminates and wood veneers. And the insides of the wardrobe are made using lesser materials such as white PVC melamine veneer which most consumers are not aware that the levels of formaldehyde used which can be harmful to your person well-being and children’s health.
Here at Carpentry&Reno, we offer quick, easy and professional solutions for made-to-measure wardrobes. You can start by simply measuring your desired length and height of the wardrobe that you want.
#1 Measure
Measure length x width – Simply measure the length and width of your desired wardrobe size.
Important Note 1: Minimum wardrobe length is 1.2m; maximum length is 2.7m
Important Note 2: Maximum wardrobe height is 2.4m. Any taller, sliding door may have to add optional belt. See below for more information.
#2 Know Your Estimated Price
Once you have a desired length and height of wardrobe, you can calculate the estimated pricing of your wardrobe using the formula below:
Step 1 – Length (ft) x Height (ft) = X square feet
Note: If you are measuring in meters, you need to convert to square feet. Multiply your length (m) x height (m) x 10.76 (conversion factor) = Y square feet.
Step 2 – Estimated price = Multiply your Y square feet by $39, giving you your estimated price for your wardrobe.
Example:
- 1.6mL x 2.1mH = 3.36 square meters
- 3.36 square meter x 10.76 (conversion factor to feet) = 36.1536 square feet
- Therefore, estimated price = $39/psf x 36.1536 = $1409.99++
#3 Select Type of Internal Configuration
Once you have a rough idea on how much your customized wardrobe would cost, the next step is to select from the various pre-configured internal wardrobe layout.
Important Note 1: If wardrobe size is more than 3 meters in length, you can choose from any pre-configured 3-door internal wardrobe layout. Any length lesser than 3 meters, you can choose from any pre-configured 2-door internal wardrobe layout.
Important Note 2: If overall height of wardrobe exceeds 2.4 meters, you may need to add a wardrobe belt in the middle of the door.
#4 Choose Your Custom Wardrobe Color
Once the internal wardrobe layout has been chosen, the next step is to choose the overall color of your wardrobe.
#5 Choose Your Doors
Once the internal wardrobe layout has been chosen, the next step is to choose your sliding doors. Choose from the different types and colors of doors.
Important Note 1: If overall height of wardrobe exceeds 2.4 meters, you may need to add a wardrobe door belt. This belt becomes a compulsory add-on. The belt acts as a reinforced element which holds up the extended height portion of the wardrobe doors.
